Skunk2 designs, develops and tests all of its valvetrain components in-house to ensure the highest quality and greatest performance gains. During development of its Pro Series Valves, Skunk2 tested each valvetrain component both on the dyno and on the road to ensure performance and durability. Pro Series Valves are manufactured from the highest quality materials available, and provide exceptional performance, reliability, and quality. Skunk2 valvetrain components are standard-issue on every project vehicle and race car that Skunk2 builds or supports.

Skunk2 Pro Series Valves utilize a superior stainless-steel alloy, featuring a higher nickel content than other stainless-steel valves. Pro Series Valves are also heat treated using a proprietary heat treatment process that yields exceptional strength and durability. Each valve features a special hardened tip that resists deformation and galling, even when used with high-lift camshafts.

Skunk2’s unique Pro Series Valves are precision machined and ground to higher concentricity tolerances, all of which significantly improves sealing, airflow, and stability. Though many aftermarket valves look similar, Skunk2 Pro Series Valves feature specially designed valve head profiles to optimize airflow when combined with either stock or performance valve jobs. Pro Series Valves also feature black nitride coatings on each shaft to reduce friction and wear. To further improve heat dissipation and valve sealing, the nitride coating is removed from the head of the valve.
